Deacons

The ministry of deacons as set forth in Scripture is one of compassion, witness, and service, sharing in the redeeming love of Jesus Christ for the poor, the hungry, the sick, the lost, the friendless, the oppressed, those burdened by unjust policies or structures, or anyone in distress. At St. James the Deacons take insure that the Lord's Supper is prepared for celebration on the first Sunday of every month as well as assist in the planning and execution of our three annual revivals. They are called out by the congregation and empowered by the Holy Spirit to serve for 3 year terms of office.
